Vibration Criteria for the evaluation of vibration-sensitive devices and equipment

The Vibration Criteria (VC) curves define the limit values ​​for the RMS (root mean square) vibration velocity per third-octave band, i.e., indicators of the average vibration velocity power per frequency band. To capture the most sensitive VC curve (VC-G) at 0.78 µm/s RMS, a correspondingly low-noise measurement system is required.

MENHIR meets these stringent requirements, as its inherent noise is more than 10 dB below the VC-G curve. The third-octave band calculation in MENHIR is performed in real time strictly according to DIN EN 61260-1 Class 1, thus enabling comparability with other measurements and systems.
